Oak Haven by Kansas Troubles Quilters for Moda Fabrics. From Lynne Hagmeier of Kansas Troubles Quilters: I love acorns so when we visit antique stores I'm always on the hunt for vintage jewelry and sewing notions with acorn motifs. Spindles and corbels with acorn designs decorate my home, and if there is a pattern to make a wool acorn pincushion, I have it. Do I have fabrics and quilt patterns with acorns? Of course. I admit it, I'm a wee bit obsessed - but I guess it's because autumn is my favorite season of the year. When acorns fall from giant oak trees into a bed of beautifully-colored leaves it evokes memories from my childhood of collecting acorn caps for jewelry, jumping in piles of crunchy leaves and getting out my warm argyle socks. So this acorn-inspired collection of Kansas Troubles fabrics is the perfect beginning to a fall quilt. So here's to autumn! Pick up an acorn and think of me!
