Sandy Klop of American Jane was first exposed to the wonderful world of color and pattern while watching Dutch Klompen dancers perform at the Tulip Festival in her hometown of Holland, Michigan. She founded American Jane Patterns in 2000 and began designing fabrics for Moda in 2003.
